The bowl of this Dublin tobacco pipe is very unique, with a pronounced forward tilt, pushing the walls ahead as they rise and flare out to a domed rim. The wide transition is smooth and substantial to the touch. An additional briar part created by the shank meeting the bowl produces a sturdy in-hand sensation.

While the slender shank, stretchy transition, and tapering rim fit rather nicely against clasped fingers. Fitted with a little bend, this dublin pipe seems natural yet you hold it to fit various smoking positions.

What causes bubbles in the pipe?

Many buyers think pipe bubbles mean issues with pipe quality. However, most pipe surfaces have a glossy coating. Smoking too intensely causes excess moisture and high temperatures, which leads to bubbling. So this is a rite of passage for most new pipe smokers.
After bubbles appear, you can remove the glossy coating using fine sandpaper or a polishing machine to reveal the pipe’s natural color. This resolves the issue. If you don’t have those tools, using it for a while will also turn it to the natural color.
To prevent bubbles, don’t smoke too intensely. Smoke slowly. If the temperature gets too high, stop and let the pipe cool before continuing, to avoid bubbles. After smoking, give the pipe rest time to protect it and extend its life.
