This Straight Billiard Pipe was designed by our pipe master John based on the classic French billiard pipe shape. The bowl here is firm and upright, with the faintest hint of a flare toward its midsection, and stands proudly on a firm heel, fostering a palpable muscularity that is magnified by its fairly large size.
When you look at the surface of the Straight Billiard Pipe With Colorful Cumberland Pipe Mouthpiece, formed by slim, supple walls that curve gently as they rise from the softened heel toward the flat rim, the overall figure contours well to the hand. Showcasing the carver’s pristine line work, an arrow-straight shank and tapered black acrylic stem join the bowl out back in a sleek, streamlined profile.
The colorful Cumberland pipe mouthpiece adds visual intrigue to this classic billiard shape. And, Dressing the briar is a warm, matte, mahogany stain that reveals some lovely grain, its hues contrasted by the black acrylic stem.
